Take in the lush forests, mountain views, and serene local atmosphere—a refreshing escape from city life.
Coffee Time at a Unique Kura Café

Relax at Moto Green Café, a retro-modern café inside a renovated kura (traditional storehouse) on a historic street that retains the charm of an old post town.
Once a bank, this unique space now serves as a motorcycle-themed café, where you can enjoy a cozy coffee break surrounded by vintage bikes and nostalgic atmosphere.
Visit a Historic Chichibu Temple

Visit Kannon-in, Temple No. 31 on the Chichibu Pilgrimage
Climb approximately 300 stone steps to reach this sacred site, where you’ll encounter Japan’s largest stone guardian statues (Nio) and a main hall dramatically built beneath a massive rock.
Nearby, the 30-meter-high Shōjō-no-Taki waterfall, once used for ascetic training, adds to the temple’s mystique.
Kannon-in is part of the Chichibu Pilgrimage, a historic route of 34 Buddhist temples spread across the tranquil mountains of Saitama.
Lunch at a Pilgrim’s Rest Stop

Dine at Kannon Chaya, a local eatery that has served temple visitors for over 50 years.
Enjoy handmade soba noodles crafted from domestic buckwheat flour and served with seasonal vegetable tempura.
(For guests with buckwheat allergies, udon noodles available instead.)
