Miyamotoke

Miyamotoke, a 200-Year-Old Farmhouse Inn

Located in Ogano Town, Chichibu District, Saitama Prefecture, Miyamotoke is a traditional farmhouse-turned-onsen ryokan with a history of over 200 years. The inn is run by a former sumo wrestler, offering a unique sumo-inspired hospitality experience.

Cuisine

Enjoy a traditional kaiseki meal featuring fresh vegetables from our private farm and locally sourced ingredients, served around a traditional irori (sunken hearth).
Don’t miss our Farmer’s-Style Chanko Nabe, a hot pot dish personally taught by the owner!

Guest Rooms

Miyamotoke offers seven uniquely themed rooms, such as “Ōoku no Ma” (Inner Chambers) and “Rikishi no Ma” (Sumo Room), allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the charm of a historic Japanese farmhouse.

Onsen (Hot Springs)

Relax in one of our four private baths, including a sumo training ring-inspired bath, and an authentic Goemon-buro (iron cauldron bath) heated with firewood.
Our natural hot spring, “Hannya no Yu,” is a high-quality alkaline onsen, known for its soothing properties.
